Vision

To become a leading research institution in Indonesia that focuses on in-depth studies of China’s economic, social, cultural, and political developments, as well as their impact on Indonesia, Indonesia-China relations, and China’s role on the international stage, both at the regional and multilateral levels.

Mission

1. To strengthen studies on China’s development in various sectors, particularly in economics, socio-politics, socio-culture, foreign policy, and defense. To build networks with China studies centers at universities and international research institutions, especially in China
2. To produce and disseminate research findings that can support the development of Indonesia-China relations and promote studies on Indonesia’s development in China. 
3. To provide policy-relevant research support to policymakers, both in the public and private sectors, in Indonesia and China. 
4. To build networks of engagement between Indonesia and China with relevant stakeholders through track two diplomacy and between economic actors. 
5. To assist businesses, both in Indonesia and China, in understanding the economic and political developments in both countries to promote mutually beneficial business cooperation.
6. To increase recognition and understanding between the people of the two countries through cultural exchange.
